Japan & SEMICON
Alan Weber, Managing VP of Business Development, joined Governor Whitmer as part of the official Michigan Delegation to Japan, where he met with 14 Japanese companies, and presented at the Japan Automotive Industry Parts Association event to discuss the Detroit Region’s automotive and mobility assets. During the trip, the team also attended the World Expo in Osaka, and the Midwest US Japan Conference. The trip also provided the perfect backdrop to announce the new Astemo Regional headquarters in Wixom.
Alan also traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, to attend the SEMICON Taiwan show, where we had over 20 prearranged meetings with semiconductor suppliers. Joined by Flint Genesee Economic Alliance, the team met with over 100 companies during the show to talk about our regional assets.
