Atlanta Fleet Telematics Company Establishing Tech Center in Sylvan Lake, Michigan

Final Mile Corp. provides logistics solutions in next-generation mobility

Sylvan Lake, MI (September 21, 2021) – Final Mile Corporation today announced the opening of a new manufacturing and fleet service logistics center in Sylvan Lake, Michigan for its TeleTruck Division.

TeleTruck is an African American-owned and operated start-up that provides service to automotive suppliers in after-market technologies to monitor safety and efficiency for vans used by high volume delivery service providers for companies such as Amazon and United States Postal Service.

“High volume delivery companies are only as good as the information provided to their fleets. It needs to be secure, accurate and fast,” said Brian Cartwright, CEO of Final Mile, who is originally from Detroit. “This new center will help us serve the Detroit market with the latest logistics solutions needed to thrive in the highly competitive e-commerce sector.”

The 10,500-square-foot technical center will accommodate final assembly and distribution of secure telematics devices, recertification and upfitting of delivery van fleets and distribution of specialized electronic and body parts for popular van models including RAM, Ford, Mercedes, and emerging electric van models.

The TeleTruck Technical Center addresses unprecedented national growth of local delivery fleet security, maintenance, repair, and service rental demand generated by independent owners of van fleets servicing in fifty national markets within 2022.

With strategic site selection and business development assistance from the Detroit Regional Partnership, Final Mile Corporation selected the Sylvan Lake location over sites near Atlanta and Los Angeles.

“Telematics provides critical information real-time and allows companies to monitor their fleets and move with the efficiency that’s expected in today’s e-commerce and logistics sectors,” said Maureen Donohue Krauss, President and CEO, Detroit Regional Partnership. “The Detroit Region has one of the most sophisticated supply chains on the planet and offers a fantastic market for logistics companies looking to innovate and expand. We are excited to welcome TeleTruck to the region.”

TeleTruck also promotes regional economic development by sharing service revenue with fleet owners, drivers, and local community colleges that train drivers and service technicians. File Mile Corporation is the makers of TeleChain® secure delivery fleet telematic devices and developer of Teletruck NonStop® delivery fleet service logistics solutions.
