The Detroit Regional Partnership is closing out the year strong with three major defense project wins—AJG Aerospace, American Rheinmetall, and Veptos—reinforcing the Detroit Region’s growing role in defense, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
AJG Aerospace moved its advanced manufacturing headquarters to the Detroit Region to produce flight parts. This generated an investment of more than $33 million and created 125 new jobs.
American Rheinmetall is investing $31.7 million in a new headquarters location, which is expected to create 450 new jobs.
Veptos moved its armored vehicle manufacturing headquarters from Texas to Michigan, generating $20 million in investment and creating 420 new jobs.
