Why We Do What We Do

Reflecting on the past year, I think back to a technician with autism who had unsuccessfully applied for 800 jobs despite his college degree and impeccable credentials. It reminded me of how our team worked with the Autism Alliance of Michigan to help him apply and land a good job with a global automotive firm retooling its plant. Working with partners we helped the company hire for more than 675 jobs in one of our cities after accessing often overlooked talent pools.

Progress Through Resilience: Why Companies Choose the Detroit Region

The Detroit Region is a place that truly embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship. As the CEO of the Detroit Regional Partnership, I see firsthand how multinational companies approach site selection–and why the Detroit Region consistently ranks as a top destination for global businesses. Of course, every company’s needs are unique, but in my experience, these are the six core reasons that CEOs prefer the Detroit Region over other major metros.

Find the Talent You Need in the Detroit Region

For companies looking to locate in the Detroit Region, evaluating the workforce is quite an undertaking. Talent isn’t bound by municipal borders, and who has time to call 300 or more communities? No one does, so the Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP) does it for you. DRP is the only organization that streamlines workforce evaluation and provides an overall assessment of the Detroit Region’s talent from a regional perspective.

Winning Michigan Jobs’ shares statewide support for tiered approach to job creation

A broad coalition of regional economic development professionals from across the state today testified in support of House Bills 5425-5426, which establish the Michigan Employment Opportunity Program to win new jobs and investments for communities across the state. The bipartisan effort to establish a sustainable incentive program addresses one of the main concerns identified by industry leaders who have chosen other states over Michigan recently: the lack of a competitive, consistent economic development structure that includes incentives for establishing new, well-paying jobs.

The Detroit Region is a Growing Research, Engineering & Design Hub

From concept to consumer, the complete talent vertical is in the 11-county Detroit Region, with innovative design thinking, top engineers, and revolutionary research technologies.
